"From Spring to Spring on the Headland" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.
Every Spring Flannel Flowers flourish on the nearby headland, creating a sea of white against the blue sky and the Pacific Ocean in the background. Every year there are more flowers, as a result of the seeds being blown in the wind. The very mature pod in the painting is just about to burst open and hence a new sesa of flowers will emerge in the coming years. True to their name, these delicate Australian native flowers are soft to the touch, covered in tiny hairs that shield them from the environmental elements.
Flannel Flowers symbolize Mental Health Awareness.
Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
