Butcher Bird" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang. You can choose between the original painting or a limited edition print (<10) Please see information for more details.
Despite their rather gruesome name Butcher Birds sing very melodiously. They derive their name from their very characteristic hooked beak which is used for empaling their prey on a thorn, branch or fork in a tree.
Nature has its way, but the blessing to our ears is their beautiful song! A serene Butcher bird standing on a stump, looking over his shoulder with a flowing blue abstract background.
