Spinebill in the Peach by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour and gouache painting. It measures 21.5cm x 28cm and is unframed.

This is an Eastern Spinebill, a very pretty little Honeyeater, that somewhat resembles a Hummingbird.  These little beauties can hover like  Hummingbirds as they feed on nectar-filled Australian native flora, of which, Grevillea is one of their favourites.

Spinebills have long curved beaks that help them get right into those juicy blossoms. The peach coloured background depicts a happy go-lucky environment.
