"Sofala Countryside" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.
 
Heading out to Sofala is always a treat for me. I love the landscape, the  vivid autumnly burnt colours and the wildlife. Kangaroos are congregating in their mobs and enjoying the land.  This painting shows a kangaroo in the foreground of a typical scene in the region in the late afternoon golden light. A large gumtree is soaking up the ambient colours and another kangaroo is situated near the fence with the escarpement in the background.
 
Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
