Bluefaced Honeyeater by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting, 28cm x 38cm and is unframed. Painted with quality watercolour on Arches 300gsm hot-pressed paper.

I was delighted to spot a Bluefaced Honeyeater for the first time, on our recent trip to the Warrumbungles National Park. This is a special National Park and landscape created by thousands of years of volcanic activity. The flora and fauna are amazing too! This also happens to be the best spot in Australia to view the night sky!

The Bluefaced Honeyeater is also known as the Banana Bird! The blue around its eye is actually skin and not feathers! It was a hot and humid day and the honeyeater was only too happy to land on the tap in anticipation of a cool drink!

The photo above represents a framing scenario. Framing is not included.

Inspired by our garden and a photo taken by awesome nature photographer Wanda Optland.
